An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
